Risen is an effort to provide people with shirts that imitate the creativity and originality of the God we serve through the truths he shares in his word. His word shouldn’t be boiled down to slogans and taglines, and it’s a lot more ground-breaking than slightly altered logos and slogans. And ultimately, wearing a T-shirt isn’t what we’re called to. But I believe it can be a creative way to put some legs to the Great Commission; a shirt can start a conversation, and a conversation can start someone in the direction of Christ.
If we’re called to glorify God in all things, why not do it with something as easy and simple as the shirt on our back? To borrow from Francis of Assisi: Preach the gospel at all times and when necessary use shirts.
